Hey Y'all!
So I've just been working like crazy at uni for the last few days. Well to be honest, I've been quite lazy with uni, and only now that have written out a 'to do list' do i realise how fucked i actually am. LOL. So this week off during Easter will actually be *shudders*, a study break. Iv got FML syndrome big time. I'm participating in the City of Stonington fashion show, supported by the Butterfly foundation in 2 weeks. Its basically an event to promote healthy body image. Everyone sees the irony in that, but its for a great cause and I'm happy to participate. So basically iv got to make one more outfit quick sticks! I'm putting in a men's shirt that i made for an assignment this semester. That shirt caused me a bit of stress. Spent the entire day sewing it, gave myself crippling back pain being hunched over the sewing machine, but i was proud of it. I then got home, sat down on my bed, got my quick unpick out and whilst cutting open the button holes, i fucked it. Sliced a hole in the stand. Where the top button goes. Right in plain view. So i put the shirt down, walked to the fridge in silence, and started eating. Good times!
Anyway, here are some pictures of me from fashion week! (its all about me!) lol courtesy of Jamie and Comeback Kid.

When The Cats Away... Part 3 (very delayed)
Hey there, so i realise its been forever since PHM was a go, but here is the third installation of that event lol. This time it was a fashion show! to be honest it was so long ago that iv totes forgot the story that was meant to go with it. Awkward. but anyway, here are the pictures:
PS. I went to fashion week, snuck into the student 'Metamorphosis' show, and was lucky enough to sit in the second row!!! so excited about life! the graduate students work was amazing, i seriously was grinding my teeth with intimidation and fear. then the next day i got a email saying that i will be reviewing the menswear show for thevine.com!!! it was so good, you can ready my review here. If you like, no pressures. LOL. I got there semi late so all the front row seats were taken so i had to sit in the 4th row, which is still pretty good considering i didn't actually pay. My Comme skort had a second outing which was good. Need to justify the purchase. Anyway better go do homework, which is slowly consuming my life.

Trim trim trimatrooo
Sorry about this belated post, iv been fighting with my html thing and thus only now can i post.
During the week went to a launch of the new Trimapee Collection at the store in QV building. I mustered up some courage and wore, for the first time, my Issey Miyake pleated pants. lol They are a very peculiar shape that billowed in the wind. It was quit interesting the number of looks I got from people as I walked from the station. I quite enjoyed wearing the pants, but they are such an iconic identifiable piece I cant wear them too often. When I bought them I full well new I wouldn’t wear them every day, but I loved them as a collectors piece, like an artwork. They have such a simple design: two geometric ‘C’ shaped pieces of polyester laser cut and straight sewn together, then diagonally pleated. The idea is fantastic, because the pleats accommodate to every body shape and make the garment drape in such interesting fantastic ways. I’v tried to wear it as a top, which is half successful, because I don’t have the use of one arm when I do that but I suppose that’s called suffering for the art. At the actual launch was quite nice. Nothing other than the normal free beer and people dressed in black situation. I wandered around with my friends, it was pretty fun. The clothing was drapey, black and leathery as per usual. The center of the store had a 4 mannequin installation display of the new collection, which was quite apocalyptic and androgynous. Later that night some person, who I know and quite frankly couldn’t care less about said to me: “that skirt and boot combination is 2 months too late.” I found that amusing because for one I was wearing pants, secondly he actually thought I care about what he thinks and would benefit from his input. I truly hate people who are so elitist and for what? I pity him. I know that he is insecure, I know enough about him to be able to rationalize his comments. Being a narcissistic faux suicidal wanker cant be easy.
And on that angry rant i'm going to go and finish my homework.

When The Cats Away... Part 2
hey guys!
omg look at this, two days in a row and posting! You might be getting me confused with an actual blogger. haha I'm feeling so proud of myself. *blushes* Anyway, im going to try and get all these backed up posts out of the way. i feel kinda lame posting about these things that happened last week because i just did a round of the blogs and everyone has already committed themselves and done the civil duties as bloggers. But not i... until now
Anyway so the next thing that was on in the Pent house Mouse series of events was the fashion raquet hosted by Pat and Gretta from Comeback Kid. It was really quite fun. We chatted for a brief second about life, her boyfriend, who conveniently happened to have had 'food poisoning' this time, and couldn't make it. hahahaha, reminds me of my days in highschool, where my fictitious 'girlfriend' lived far away, and no one had ever seen her, but she existed and i wasn't gay! hahaha We also chatted about my pathological shopping disorder and 'who im wearing this time'. I am in fact turning into Edie from ab fab... im just one DKNY tracksuit and a pair of Lacroix clip-ons away from the total transition. LOL
Anyway, the evening was great, Architecture in Helsinki DJed but i wouldn't know because as per usual i missed out on the action because i was smoking. Don't judge me i'm giving up...slowly. lol
well here are the picture:
ps. i need a new camera, mine has once again become a dirty slut. what should i get?
cheers, vlad
i wonder who that dickhead with the bucket is...? drunk again, im assuming at this point Architecture were DJing
Is that not the cutest thing ever? Gretta, netball skirts become you!

When The Cats Away... Part 1
Hi there,
So its fashion week here in little old Melbourne and naturally, me not being organised am not attending any shows. So I'm trying to make up for it in fashion parties. And i need some where to wear my new purchases. This time i went with my Comme Des Garcons skort, more like Papua New Guinea islander dress with a fold of fabric creating a descreat pant like shape in a tartain printed polyester. Also i had on this $6.50 tee shirt i baught at a convinience store with a massive tiger on the front, and my cherry docs. I felt special. Anyway, the first show i attended was the Pent House Mouse. It was set in an ex military/naval base in the city, had a nice rustic wood paneled charm. I got there late and missed out on the free beer and had to pay $7 per beverage. Was a touch disappointed. There was some interesting art installations. My personal favorite was the Mahican tepee made out of floral cloth. As we were sitting inside some models poped in and started filming for some show. Wouldnt have a clue what its for but we sat there engaged in polite conversation (saying watermelon repetedly and chucling, apparently thats what your meant to say to look normal) pretending not to notice the camera. After that we migrated to the other sections of the venue. I stayed there for about an hour because i was just so tired and not in the mood to socialise with people (it had been a long day, too much public transport). my frinds kept patying on, im told it got messy...
anyway, here are the pics! stay tuned for the next wave of posts before another dark hole of lazyness.
