Paper Cuts

Hey guys!
waddup?
just thought i'd post some of my uni work. this is my first semester prototype. we had to create a complete outfit consisting of at least two pieces with a concept and etc. My concept is called paper cuts. I wanted to create garments with a non traditional fabrication method and so instead of sewing i glued most of the seams together. the glue i used was quite stiff and as the layers of fabric built up created a kind of skeleton structure. i then slit the fabric horisontaly to create a net like texture. I was facinated how the slits in the fabric undermine the structural itegrity of the glued garment making it colapse. Lol wanky fashion speak! We also had to make A1 posters for our assesment and naturaly i ran out of time to have a photoshoot with a model so instead i masking taped the garments to a white wall and took pictures, and here they are: hope you guys like them!

Even More Birthday Bashes

Hey there beautiful people!
Check me out! I'm actually posting!feel the good vibrations...
So this last Friday was Jack Mac's incredible 21st birthday extravaganza! He set the bar quite high *sweats nervously*. its OK, by the time its my 21st people would have forgotten his, yeah? Some how i don't think so. Pretty much was one of the best parties i have ever been to. He hired out a wear house along with a mandatory and what seamed like never ending tab, hello good times!
needless to say we all got quite inebriated, what class? the result was one powerful hang over and a lasting memory of a great night out! We even had a guest tribute performance to Lady Ga Ga by drag star Millie Minogue. fab.
As the drinks progressed the more our behavior got inappropriate. i may or may not have been violated by Greta, but fear not, i violated her right back. Even Steven.
My new alligator leather clutch came out, said hello for its first public appearance. was a nice moment, and not that you guys care, but i was not wearing all black for the first time in ages!! head to toe gray, with my translucent boots. Yeah i was fly. Workin' what my mamma gave me. Then i got trashed and in true Pats and Edie style stumbled home. Mmmm living the life.
Anyway here are the pics:

birthday bashes

hey guys!
i have finally finished with assessments and i am free on my holidays! woo! So i finally have time to blog!! so much has gone on, life changing purchases, obscenely fun times along with ridiculously stressful moments where i couldn't help but have a private cry to myself.
Anyway all this if finito, and now it seams like the roller coaster (can it get even more cliched?) that is life has smoothed itself out and i am in calm blue waters. Thank you Oprah.
So the purpose of this post is to document a certain someones, Greta from Comeback Kid's birthday shindig. So much fun! She is an old fashioned hoot! On the way to this glam-fest i realised that i left me camera at home. Nice one, dickhead! So i frantically, well not frantically as i do travel for like an hour from my house to the city, so leisurely downloaded the Hipstermatic app for my iphone to make the pictures look all indie alternative because im supper cool like that... Ha!
Once there we danced to a bit of the late great MJ, they even had a memorial tiki style tribute sculpture in his honor. As soon as Madonna popped onto the stereo there was no holding back, leave your dignity at the door. Mad gyrating and vogueing was a must. Go hard or go home. And hard we danced, after 'Vogue' i realised how truly unfit a actually am. i had to have a cheeky sit down whilst trying to sort out my 3 stitches and surprise hernia. lol, but as soon as 'Like a prayer' began i knew that this power pop ballad deserved justice, and deep down i know that somewhere in some London high security kabala center Madonna was smiling. Needless to say it was a fun night. Unfortunately it was so fun that i lost my favorite sweater. that was sad, it was like losing a child. a week later i went back to the store and my baby was there!! waiting patiently for me! i could not have asked for a better outcome. so good!
